Professional tapering and custom-fit alterations for your physical pair of denim jeans, done right here at our California factory. Send us your jeans and we'll alter the existing garment to your selected measurements, then return the same pair of jeans back to you.
We can taper just about any brand of jeans, including denim, canvas, and chino styles. Dress pants and slacks are excluded. All tapering is done from the inseam, leaving the original selvedge outseam untouched.
This alteration also includes a chain stitch hem to your desired inseam length.
With over 15 years of denim manufacturing and alteration experience, our in-house team has the knowledge and proper commercial industrial sewing machines to work with heavyweight denim up to 25 ounces. Heavier fabrics and double-panel jeans may require an additional charge due to the extra labor involved and added wear on our vintage machinery.
Please note that this alteration is not intended to convert straight or tapered jeans into a bootcut or flare fit. If you're sending us a pair that is already bootcut or flared and would like them tapered, additional charges may apply.

Unmatched Sewing Integrity
Our inseam construction is one of the details that sets our tapering apart. Instead of using broken or "tacked" inseam stitches, we use a single continuous stitch whenever the garment construction allows. This creates a clean, durable, and professional inseam.
Already Have a Pair That Fits Just Right?
If you already own a pair of jeans that fits exactly how you like, select our "Reference Option" and send that physical pair along with the jeans you would like altered.
Clearly mark which pair is the reference garment. We'll use it to help match the fit and measurements of your alteration. Once the work is complete, both physical garments will be returned to you.
Mail-In Jeans Alteration
Our typical turnaround time for tapering is approximately 3–4 weeks from the date your jeans are received and checked into our California factory.
Need to Fix the Selvedge Line From a Previous Alteration?
We can also repair and restore jeans that were previously tapered incorrectly from the selvedge outseam.
If another tailor altered your jeans from the selvedge side and changed the original selvedge line, select the appropriate repair option from the dropdown menu. We'll restore the outseam as closely as possible and taper the jeans correctly from the inseam.
