The first release of our Interceptor design is built from a substantial 14 oz Cone Mills denim featuring a black warp with a natural weft. The combination creates a deep black exterior with subtle natural-colored contrast showing through the weave, giving the fabric dimension and character beyond a standard black denim.

At 14 oz, the denim has enough weight and structure to complement the Interceptor’s shirt-jacket construction while still remaining comfortable and wearable for layering. As the denim is worn and broken in, the black warp will develop its own unique fading and wear patterns, bringing more of the natural weft character to the surface over time.

Paired with the Interceptor’s heavy front placket construction and welted hand-warmer pockets, this Cone Mills denim makes for a substantial piece that can be worn as a heavy shirt, overshirt, or lightweight denim jacket.

Interceptor:
The Interceptor is our heavier-duty shirt design, built to bridge the gap between a traditional shirt and a lightweight jacket. Based on our tried-and-true Eliminator shirt, the Interceptor retains the familiar Railcar fit and styling while incorporating several major construction changes designed specifically for heavier fabrics.

A reinforced front placket provides additional structure for heavier materials, while a center-back interior shell edge stitching detail adds strength and a clean finished appearance. Welted hand warmer pockets are integrated into the lower front, adding the functionality of a jacket while maintaining the clean lines of a shirt.

The result is a substantial overshirt that can be worn on its own or layered and used as a light jacket.

Delivery:
These shirts are made when ordered and will take 3-4 weeks from order to ship. Orders will be made in the order received.
