The Railcar Type 2 Super Nep is now available in a classic indigo selvedge raw denim. This fabric starts as a clean medium-tone indigo and will naturally wear in over time to a timeless 1950s-style fade, highlighted by its signature popcorn-neppy texture. At 15 ounces, it’s a solid medium-heavy denim with a surprisingly soft feel on the inside.
We paired this rare, character-packed fabric with our precise in-house craftsmanship to create a jacket built to age beautifully and stay with you for decades.
Nep Denim:
Neppy selvedge raw denim is woven with intentionally uneven, fuzzy cotton fibers that create tiny “neps” or textured white specks throughout the fabric. These neps give the denim a vintage, organic look and add character as the jeans fade. Because it’s raw and unwashed, the denim starts stiff and molds to your body over time, creating high-contrast, personalized wear patterns. The selvedge edge comes from old-school shuttle looms, adding durability and a premium, collectible appeal.

The Denim Fabric:
Heavy 15 ounce nep indigo classic indigo denim with a noticeable pop corn neppy texture on the top surface. The fabric's unique character will become increasingly apparent as you break in these jeans.
Sizing And Shrinkage Info:
After performing an in-house shrink test on this fabric, the results has minimal shrinkage. We recommend sizing to your normally bought size. Don't size up nor down.
