Woven in Japan and handcrafted in small batches at our Railcar Fine Goods factory in California, each pair is built from start to finish with close attention to fit, construction, and durability. The X135 brings together the character and quality of Japanese selvedge denim with the craftsmanship of American made jeans.
The fabric starts crisp and full of character, then gradually softens and develops unique fades with every wear. As the indigo ages, the natural weft and surface texture will become more pronounced, creating even more contrast and personality over time.

The Spikes Fit:
The Railcar signature "Spikes" fit is a medium rise, modern slim taper fit. The rise has plenty of height to keep you comfortably covered but not too high that it will dig into your stomach.
Designed To Reduce Leg Twist And Denim Torque:
Heavyweight raw denim can be more susceptible to visible leg twisting and torque as the fabric breaks in. Our jean patterns are carefully designed and balanced to greatly reduce these effects.
The leg pattern and construction help the denim fall naturally from the thigh through the leg, minimizing unwanted twisting as the jeans soften and conform to the body.
Cut And Sewn In-house In California, USA:
Every pair of Railcar Fine Goods denim jeans is manufactured in-house at our California workshop. The denim comes to us as raw yardage, and our own team handles the cutting, sewing, construction, finishing, and final inspection.
Keeping production in-house allows us to maintain control over fit, construction, and quality at every stage of manufacturing.
15 Ounce Indigo Japanese Selvedge:

Woven in Japan and handcrafted in small batches in the USA, this denim is built to develop beautiful character with wear.
Sizing And Shrinkage Info:
After performing an in-house shrink test on this fabric, the results has minimal shrinkage. We recommend sizing to your normally bought size. Don't size up nor down.
Delivery:
We have a limited quantity of this fabric on hand. Orders will be cut and sewn immediately, in the order they are received. Please allow a short 2-3 week delivery time after your order is placed.
Free Chain Stitch Hem:
Your Railcar comes with free chain stitch hemming to your desired length. If this is your first Railcar order, we highly recommend not requesting a custom hem on your jeans because your jeans will not qualify them to be exchanged or returned. If you know your Railcar size, you could request a hem by making a note in the note section when checking out or by email. All customized hemmed jeans are final sale.

How We Make Them Inexpensive:
By only producing what is sold with a little bit of overage in inventory, we are able to keep the cost low and pass the savings along to you. Unlike other brands, we don't manufacture unsold items, which means you are not covering the cost of excess inventory. We are dedicated to only making what will be worn, allowing us to offer these handcrafted at an affordable price.
Oversell Note:
If for some reason we run out of fabric, the later orders will be canceled and fully refunded. You will be notified as soon as it is known. Orders will be made in the order in received.
