Mask Care

Railcar masks are reusable, thus they are machine washable hot. We recommend hand dry to prolong the life of them. With the current COVID-19 situation, we recommended that you wash your Railcar face mask after every use using hot water and a mild detergent. You should expect some minor shrinkage after wash. This is normal and the fabric and elastic will stretch back over time.

Regardless of which face mask brand you use, you should always keep your protective personal equipment (PPE) clean and sanitized. We recommend having multiple face masks on hand so that you can always have a clean one available and ready to use.

The CDC recommends using a cloth face mask that has at least two layers of fabric for protection, such as the Railcar face mask, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
