Here at Railcar, it's all about the in-house manufacturing. Doing it this way, we have full control of high quality that's actually unseen. An example could be as simple as installing a shirt button. We use a rare Singer 69 to install our shirt buttons. The big difference is that it uses a bobbin creating a lock stitch instead of a chain stitch that's commonly used in a high production factory. Have you ever had a button fall off when the button stitch tail was pulled? That's a chain stitch made with a single thread. A lock stitch uses 2 threads. One on the spool, needle side, and the other is the bobbin. The two threads makes a lock stitch. So even if you have some abrasion on the stitch, you'll have a better chance the button will stay attached to the shirt.
